আজ সকালে গণভবন থেকে ভিডিও কনফারেন্সে স্পেশাল সিকিউরিটি ফোর্সের (এসএসএফ) ৩৪তম প্রতিষ্ঠাবার্ষিকী উদযাপন উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে দেওয়া বক্তব্যে মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হসিনা বলেন,
‘আমি চাই আমাদের মানুষের মধ্যে যেন একটা আস্থা থাকে, বিশ্বাস থাকে, সেই বিশ্বাস-আস্থাটা ধরে রাখতে হবে। আমরা হার মানবো না, মৃত্যু তো হবে, মৃত্যু যেকোনো সময় যেকোনো কারণে হতে পারে। কিন্তু তার জন্য ভীত হয়ে হার মানতে হবে? এ ধরনের একটা অদৃশ্য শক্তির কাছে এটাতো না। সেজন্য আমাদেরও সেভাবে প্রচেষ্টা চালাতে হবে।’
নিজেকে সুরক্ষিত রাখার পাশাপাশি অপরের সুরক্ষা নিশ্চিত করার আহ্বান জানিয়ে প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা বলেছেন, ‘স্বাস্থ্য সুরক্ষার জন্য যা যা নির্দেশনা সেগুলো মেনে চলে নিজের জীবনকে চালাতে হবে।’
