সুন্দর প্রজাপতি

প্রকৃতির অপার কৃপায় সৃষ্ট নানান রংয়ের প্রজাপতি বাংলাদেশে দেখতে পাওয়া যায়। এই প্রজাপতি নিয়ে বাংলা ভাষায় অনেক গান, কবিতা-গল্প রচিত হয়েছে। কবি-সাহিত্যিক, আবাল-বৃদ্ধ-বনিতা যাঁরা যখনই প্রজাপতি দেখেছেন, তার রংয়ের ছটায় বিমোহিত হয়েছেন।

সভ্যতার চাদরে মোড়ানো শহুরে জীবনে প্রজাপতির দেখা পাওয়া সত্যিই কঠিন! মাঝে-মধ্যে স্মৃতি হাতড়ে বেড়াই। সেখানে হাজারো রকমের প্রজাপতিরা উড়ে বেড়ায়। অদ্ভুত তাদের ডানার রং মিশেল। সভ্যতার ইট-পাথরের ধোপে পালিয়েছে তারা। এখানে তারা আর আসবেনা। হয়তো কোনদিন না। 

আমরা কি সভ্যতা আর আধুনিকতার নামে আমাদের অস্তিত্ব বিলীন করে দিচ্ছি? একটা প্রশ্ন মানে ঘুরপাক খায়। প্রশ্নটা সম্প্রতি আরো প্রকট হয়েছে। প্রকট থেকে প্রকটতর! বিশ্ব নামব সভ্যতা কি আজ হুমকির মুখে? অসহায়? নিরূপায়?

প্রকৃতিকে ঠিক রেখে কি সভ্যতা গড়া যায়না? আধুনিক হওয়া যায়না? তাহলে হয়তো প্রজাপতিগুলো আধুনিক শহরের ইট-পাথরের কিণারায় মনবতার জয়গান গাইতো! জয় হোক বিশ্ব মানবতার। প্রজাপতির। 

Beautiful butterflies

Butterflies of various colors created by the infinite grace of nature can be seen in Bangladesh. Many songs, poems and stories have been written in Bengali about this butterfly. Poets, writers, young and old, who have always been fascinated by the colors of butterflies. 

It is really difficult to see butterflies in the urban life wrapped in the sheet of civilization! Occasionally I wander in memory. Thousands of species of butterflies fly there. Strange is the color mixing of their wings. They have escaped in the bricks and stones of civilization. They will not come here again. Maybe not someday.

Are we destroying our existence in the name of civilization and modernity? A question arise in mind. The question has become more obvious recently. From obvious to obvious! Is world civilization under threat today? Helpless? Resource less?

 

Can't civilization be built by keeping nature right? Can't be modern? Then maybe the butterflies would sing the praises of humanity on the bricks and stones of the modern city! May world humanity win. Also butterflies.

আজ আন্তর্জাতিক চা দিবস-২০২০

 ২০২০ সালের ২২ শে মে বিশ্ব প্রথম চা দিবস উদযাপনের জন্য হাত মিলিয়েছে। দিনটি মূলত চায়ের ব্যবহার বাড়ানোর লক্ষ্যে পালন করা হচ্ছে।

জাতিসংঘ বলেছে যে চায়ের ঔ ষধি মূল্য রয়েছে এবং এটি মানব স্বাস্থ্যের জন্য উপকার পাওয়ার সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে।

২০১৯ সালে, জাতিসংঘ (ইউএন) বিশ্বের অন্যতম প্রাচীন পানীয়গুলির গুরুত্ব স্বীকার করেছে।

জাতিসংঘ কেবল চায়ের ঔষধি গুনকেই স্বীকৃতি দেয়নি, তারা পানীয়টিকে তার টেকসই উন্নয়ন লক্ষ্য (এসডিজি) কর্মসূচির একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ উপাদান হিসাবে বিবেচনা করেছে। তারা আশা করছে যে, চা বিশ্বজুড়ে ক্ষুধা ও দারিদ্র্য বিমোচনে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করবে।

আন্তর্জাতিক চা দিবসটি জাতিসংঘের খাদ্য ও কৃষি সংস্থা (এফএও) দ্বারা উদযাপিত হচ্ছে। আন্তর্জাতিক চা দিবসের প্রথম বছরে, একটি ভার্চুয়াল ইভেন্টের আয়োজন করা হয়েছে। সেখানে বিশ্বের শীর্ষ চায়ের রফতানি এবং আমদানির পাশাপাশি প্রধান উৎপাদনকারী দেশগুলিকে দেখতে পাবে এবং তাদের চিন্তাধারা শেয়ার করতে পারবে। আগ্রহী ব্যক্তিরা ওয়েবকাস্টের মাধ্যমে আন্তর্জাতিক চা দিবস উদযাপনে অংশ গ্রহণ করতে পারেন।

এর আগে, ১৫ ডিসেম্বর চা উৎপাদনকারী দেশগুলিতে বাংলাদেশ, শ্রীলঙ্কা, নেপাল, ভিয়েতনাম, ইন্দোনেশিয়া, কেনিয়া, মালাউই, মালয়েশিয়া, উগান্ডা, ভারত এবং তানজানিয়ায় আন্তর্জাতিক চা দিবস হিসাবে পালিত হয়েছিল।

মে মাসে চা উৎপাদনের মরসুম বেশিরভাগ দেশে শুরু হয়, যে কারণে- জাতিসংঘ ২১শে মে আন্তর্জাতিক চা দিবস হিসাবে উদযাপন করছে।

May 22, 2020 marks the first World Tea Day. The day is being observed mainly to increase the consumption of tea.

The United Nations has said that, tea has medicinal value and is likely to benefit human health.

In 2019, the United Nations (UN) recognized the importance of one of the world's oldest drinks.

The United Nations has not only recognized the medicinal value of tea, but also considered it a key component of its Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). They hope that tea will play an important role in alleviating hunger and poverty around the world.

International Tea Day is being celebrated by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). In the first year of International Tea Day, a virtual event has been organized. There you will be able to see the world's top tea exporters and importers as well as the major producing countries and share their thoughts. Interested persons can take part in the celebration of International Tea Day through webcast.

Earlier, December 15 was observed as International Tea Day in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Vietnam, Indonesia, Kenya, Malawi, Malaysia, Uganda, India and Tanzania.

The tea production season begins in most countries in May, which is why the United Nations is celebrating May 21 as International Tea Day. 

Cyclone Amphan has hit the coast of Bangladesh

ঘূর্ণিঝড় আম্পান বাংলাশে উপকূলে আঘাত হেনেছে

আজ বুধবার বিকেল চার ঘটিকা হতে ঘূর্ণিঝড় আম্পান বাংলাদেশ উপকূলে আঘাত হেনেছে।

বাংলাদেশের আবহাওয়া অফিস বলেছে- বাতাসের একটানা গতিবেগ ঘন্টায় ১৬০ কিলোমিটার। ইতোপূর্বে  তাঁরা ধারণা করেছিলেন ২২০ কিলোমিটারের বেশী কিছু। উপকূলীয় এলাকায় ১০ নম্বর মহাবিপদ সংকেত জারী করা হয়েছে। 

ঘূর্ণিঝড়টি বাংলাদেশ উপকূলে চার ঘন্টার মতো অবস্থান করতে পারে। 

ঘূর্ণিঝড়ের ফলে জলোচ্ছ্বাসের আশংকা রয়েছে। জান-মালের ক্ষয়-ক্ষতির কোন খবর পাওয়া যায়নি। 

বাংলাদেশ সরকারের ব্যাপক প্রস্তুতির খবর পাওয়া গেছে। ইতোমধ্যে উপকূলীয় এলাকার লোকজনদেরকে নিরাপদ আশ্রয়ে সরিয়ে নেয়া হয়েছে। 

 

Cyclone Amphan hit the coast of Bangladesh from 04 pm on Wednesday.

The meteorological office of Bangladesh said that, the continuous wind speed is 160 kilometres per hour. Earlier, they thought it was more than 220 kilometres. Danger signal number 10 has been issued in the coastal areas.

The cyclone could stay on the coast of Bangladesh for about four hours.

There is a risk of tidal surge as a result of the cyclone. No casualties were reported.

There have been reports of extensive preparations by the Bangladesh Government. People in the coastal areas have already been evacuated.

One million families received financial assistance from PM Sheikh Hasina.

প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার অর্থ সহায়তা পেল ১০ লাখ পরিবার

১. কোভিড-১৯ (করোনাভাইরাস) পরিস্থিতিতে অতিদরিদ্র ১০ লাখ পরিবারকে অর্থ সহায়তা প্রদান করেছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা। এই অর্থ সহায়তার পরিমাণ এককালীন ২,৫০০ টাকা। অর্থ সহায়তা প্রাপ্তরা উপকৃত হয়েছেন বলে জানা গেছে। 

২. এই অর্থ  সহায়তা প্রদানে কিছু কিছু অনিয়ম ধারা পড়েছে। প্রযুক্তির ব্যবহারের কারণে অনিয়মগুলি ধরতে সহজ হয়েছে। ভবিষ্যতে একটি নির্ভুল ডাটাবেজ তৈরী করা হবে বলে জানা গেছে।

৩. তথ্য ও যোগাযোগ প্রযুক্তি অধিদপ্তরের মাধ্যমে একটি টিম গঠণ করা হয়েছে। উক্ত টিমের মাধ্যমে প্রস্তুতকৃত সেন্ট্রাল এইড মেন্যাজমেন্ট সিস্টেম এর মাধ্যমে সকল প্রকার মানবিক অর্থ সহায়তা প্রদান করা যাবে।

৪. বাংলাদেশের সকল মন্ত্রনালয় এই সুবিধা গ্রহণ করে নির্ভুলভাবে অতিদরিদ্রদেরকে মানবিক অর্থ  সহায়তা প্রদান করতে পারবে। যাহা মন্ত্রনালয়গুলি একটি ড্যাশবোর্ডের মাধ্যমে নজরদারী করতে পারবেন।

৫. জয় হোক মানবতার।

1. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has provided financial assistance to one million extremely poor families in the Covid-19 (coronavirus) situation. The amount of this financial assistance is Tk. 2,500 at a time. Financial aid recipients have reportedly benefited.

2. There have been some irregularities in the provision of this financial assistance. The use of technology has made it easier to catch irregularities. It is known that an accurate database will be created in the future.

3. A team has been formed through the Department of Information and Communication Technology. All types of humanitarian assistance can be provided through the ‘Central Aid Management System’ developed by the said team.

4. All the Ministries of Bangladesh will be able to take advantage of this and provide humanitarian assistance to the extremely poor. Which ministries can monitor via a dashboard.

প্রধান মন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার স্বদেশ প্রত্যাবর্তন দিবস

গতকাল ১৭ ই মে বাংলাদেশ আওয়ামী লীগের উদ্যোগে প্রধান মন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার স্বদেশ প্রত্যাবর্তন দিবস পালন করা হয়। ১৯৮১ সালের এই দিনে তিনি বন্ধুপ্রতিম দেশ ভারত হইতে আপন দেশে ফিরে আসেন। তাঁর এই ফেরার মধ্য দিয়েই বাংলাদেশের রাজনৈতিক পটভূমি পরিবর্তন হয়।

বর্তমানে বাংলাদেশ অর্থনৈতিক উন্নতির পথে।

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Homecoming day was observed on May 17 at the initiative of Bangladesh Awami League. On this day in 1981, he returned to his homeland from friendly country India. With his return, the political background of Bangladesh changed.

At present Bangladesh is on the path of economic development.
