ঘূর্ণিঝড় আম্পান বাংলাশে উপকূলে আঘাত হেনেছে
আজ বুধবার বিকেল চার ঘটিকা হতে ঘূর্ণিঝড় আম্পান বাংলাদেশ উপকূলে আঘাত হেনেছে।
বাংলাদেশের আবহাওয়া অফিস বলেছে- বাতাসের একটানা গতিবেগ ঘন্টায় ১৬০ কিলোমিটার। ইতোপূর্বে তাঁরা ধারণা করেছিলেন ২২০ কিলোমিটারের বেশী কিছু। উপকূলীয় এলাকায় ১০ নম্বর মহাবিপদ সংকেত জারী করা হয়েছে।
ঘূর্ণিঝড়টি বাংলাদেশ উপকূলে চার ঘন্টার মতো অবস্থান করতে পারে।
ঘূর্ণিঝড়ের ফলে জলোচ্ছ্বাসের আশংকা রয়েছে। জান-মালের ক্ষয়-ক্ষতির কোন খবর পাওয়া যায়নি।
বাংলাদেশ সরকারের ব্যাপক প্রস্তুতির খবর পাওয়া গেছে। ইতোমধ্যে উপকূলীয় এলাকার লোকজনদেরকে নিরাপদ আশ্রয়ে সরিয়ে নেয়া হয়েছে।
Cyclone Amphan
hit the coast of Bangladesh from 04 pm on Wednesday.
The
meteorological office of Bangladesh said that, the continuous wind speed is 160
kilometres per hour. Earlier, they thought it was more than 220 kilometres.
Danger signal number 10 has been issued in the coastal areas.
The cyclone could stay on the coast of Bangladesh for about four hours.
There is a risk of tidal surge as a result of the cyclone. No casualties were reported.
There have been reports of extensive preparations by the Bangladesh Government. People in the coastal areas have already been evacuated.
